Immigration can contribute importantly to the sustainable economic growth of ageing host countries like Portugal. The challenge for this policy to succeed is the integration of immigrants. This project experimentally evaluates the impact of an active immigrant integration program using a randomized controlled trial implemented among immigrants residing in the Greater Lisbon area and their relatives in Cape Verde. The integration program is multi-dimensional and aims at promoting better quality employment of migrants, better access and usage of health and education services, and at improving other integration indicators.
